Rehearsal Dates and Calendar

Rehearsal Information

Please review the rehearsal schedule for specific times and dates. Most rehearsals will occur between 5-9 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays or 3-7 PM on Fridays, with occasional Saturday sessions. Different groups or parts will be assigned specific days and times, and some dancers will only be called once a week, depending on their part(s). Rehearsals will not begin until September, with the possibility of starting with main characters and larger groups first. We must coordinate with many groups and activities for practice space and availability, so not everyone will be called to rehearsal each week. Most dancers will only be required for one or two hours weekly.

Please list any conflicts you might have that fall on rehearsal days and times. If you cannot attend a specific time frame on a rehearsal day (e.g., a dance class from 6-7 PM on Monday but available from 7-9 PM) or are unavailable on a particular date, please indicate that in your list of conflicts.

Audition Attire

• Girls/Women: Leotard, ballet slippers, pointe shoes (for pointe audition)
• Boys/Men: T-shirt and sweats are fine

Nutcracker Week: December 9-14
Shows: December 12, 13 & 14

If multiple family members are auditioning, please fill out a separate form for each dancer planning to audition.

August Dates

• August 31: Community Auditions
  • If you have a conflict and are still interested in auditioning, contact us before auditions.

September Dates

• September 4, 6: Possible main character rehearsals
• September 9, 11, 13
• September 14: Ballet Bootcamp (All Call)
• September 16, 18, 20
• September 21: Possible rehearsal for some
• September 23, 25, 27, 28

October Dates

• October 7, 9, 11
• October 12: Possible rehearsal for some
• October 14, 16
• October 23, 25, 26
  • (25 & 26 might be smaller groups)

Starting the week of October 28, Monday & Wednesday rehearsals will change to 7-9 PM in the dance lab, while Friday rehearsals will remain the same.

• October 28, 30: 7-9 PM
• November 1: 4-7 PM

Note: There will be no rehearsals during SEP & CCR week/Shakespeare Competition.

November Dates

• November 1, 2: Combined All of Act 1
  • (Possibly put full Act 1 together with a photoshoot in costume)
• November 4, 6
• November 8: Combined All of Act 2 with studios
• November 11, 13, 15
• November 16: Combined Full show rehearsal Act 1 & Act 2
  • Possibly in costume with a photoshoot (in dance lab)
• November 18, 20
• November 26: Load into theater
  • If needed, Combined Full show rehearsal Act 1 & Act 2 (on stage)

Note: There will be no rehearsals during Thanksgiving week unless needed on the 26th. We aim to finish on the 16th.

December Dates

Note: Days and times may change based on the best days/times per group. Schedule TBA.

• December 2: Lighting/Tech crew / Spacing rehearsal day
  • Each group will be assigned a time slot, including studios
• December 4: Tech day to finish up spacing and lighting groups/or run of Show
• December 6: Combined Full show rehearsal in costume Act 1 & Act 2, with a photoshoot for a few dancers

Show Week

I understand that some studios also have shows this week, which is why I plan for two dress rehearsals. If you need to miss one rehearsal, you can still make it to the other. I am flexible and willing to work with you; just communicate with me what is needed.

• Monday, December 9: Lighting rehearsal, cue-to-cue (no dancers)
  • Run show with dancers if needed
• Tuesday, December 10: Dress rehearsal 1: Full run in costume
• Wednesday, December 11: Dress rehearsal 2: Full run in costume
• Thursday, December 12: Act 1 matinees for schools and full show - LONG DAY!!

We will have two matinee performances for schools on December 12 at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, Act 1 only. Call time will be at 9 AM. There will be a lunch break between school showings and a long dinner break before the evening show/opening night.

• December 12th Evening: Full show @ 7:00 PM
• Friday, December 13: One showing - Evening full show @ 7:00 PM
• Saturday, December 14: Two showings - Full matinee performance @ 1:00 PM and Evening full show @ 7:00 PM

Cast Party: January 10th, 6:00 PM in the Auditorium
